Sauerbraten (a.k.a. Cube 2) is a free multiplayer/singleplayer first person shooter, built as a major redesign of the Cube FPS.
Much like the original Cube, the aim of this game is not necessarily to produce the most features & eyecandy possible, but rather to allow map/geometry editing to be done dynamically in-game, to create fun gameplay and an elegant engine.

rider92131Doesn't seem to work on my modest PC. I walk through the walls and end up floating in air. Can't shoot, can't do much of anything. Weird. And I can run newer programs with more demanding graphics.[reply|quote]Monday, February 05, 2007 03:11 PM

by: Visitor (Visitor)This game just isn't that fun.
I'll start with single player.
Episode one: you just push buttons to open doors until you get to the end of the level, no enemies. I thought it would get better so I tried episode two basically the same thing a few levers in place of buttons at the very end there is one enemy, when you defeat it you're done with that level. I decide to give it one last chance with episode 3 again same thing as episode one except 2 enemies at the end that take longer to defeat they are as dumb as dirt and in the end you just keep shooting till they are gone(they don't attack you while you're attacking them) it takes no strategy at all.
Here are the problems: not enough enemies, bad A.I., no strategy involved, too simple, and for an FPS to hold up today it really needs some sort of story.
The multiplayer is a big mess I tried every way to get a game going and nothing worked, so I wasn't even able to try it. There needs to be a more organized and straightforward way to play multiplayer.
You have a nice start, but this still needs a TON of work. 2/5[reply|quote]Monday, February 05, 2007 03:37 PM
