One of our readers iKiddo sent us a link the over the holiday that really upset me to be quite frank. Apparently, Kotaku has learned via the Wall Street Journal that Led Zeppelin will continue to be late if not absent from the Guitar Hero/Rock Band party due to not wanting to grant access to their master tapes.

For those of you who may know me on Xbox Live or have played with me in the past, you’ll know that I pretty much had the greatest gamertag ever.  I was damn proud of my gamertag as it had just the right amount of dirty humor to it.  When I’d tell anyone my gamertag, a smile would immediately come to their face, and often a laugh and/or chuckle.

Gaming TodayIn the US of A, today is the 4th of July, which might mean a day off from work, BBQs, and 50% off love seats at the local furniture depot, but it’s really a day to celebrate America’s independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4th, 1776.

I considered titling this update with something along the lines of “yawn-inducing,” but that’d be an understatement. There’s nothing new on the Store this week other than two new themes, one of which is called “PSN Theme” which reeks with about as much creativity as an FPS starring a space marine. (I still love you, Master Chief.)

It was only a matter of time before Qore got an exclusive demo, and it didn’t take long. Qore Episode 2 was released today and includes the exclusive Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm demo. (I wonder how many diehard Naruto fans fork over the $3 entry fee to play the demo.) It’s also got part one of a three part series on the development of Resistance 2. In other words, I continue to regret having purchased a subscription when Qore was first released.

At your disposal will be the Hammerburst, Locust Gorgon Pistol and the Locust Poison Grenade, plus we have some Stranded Flame Thrower and shield concept art as well.
